Introduction: Many DevOps roles are really system administration under another name - maintenance, troubleshooting, firefighting. At FrontX, DevOps is different: you work on cloud migrations, legacy modernisation and CI/CD pipeline builds. You don't just run the system - you design and modernise it.
The projects
You will work on financial services systems - containerising Java-based insurance applications, cloud migrations and building automated deployment pipelines. In environments where compliance requirements (central bank rules, DORA, GDPR) are genuine design considerations, not afterthoughts.
What you will do
- Containerisation and cloud migration - Docker, Kubernetes
- Designing and building CI/CD pipelines
- Azure or AWS cloud architecture - with financial services compliance in mind
- Technical support for legacy system modernisation
- Infrastructure as code (IaC) - Terraform, Ansible or Helm
- FinOps - optimising cloud costs
What we are looking for
- At least 5 years of DevOps or cloud experience
- Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes experience in production environments
- Azure or AWS experience - financial services experience is a plus
- CI/CD pipeline experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or similar)
- Confident Linux administration
- Knowledge of financial services compliance (central bank rules, DORA) - a plus
